In the premiere of this episode, there are two lines by Bart and Mr. Burns which
respectfully are, "Bad influence, my ass!" and "I had better kiss my sorry

____" groups, so in all of the repeats on FOX, the words were swapped. That is, from
then on, Mr. Burns said "I had better kiss my sorry ass goodbye," and Bart's
line was now, "Bad influence, my butt!" In syndication, however, the lines have
returned to normal: as they were in the original broadcast.

the rest of Springfield.

friend Jasper places himself in suspended animation in Apu's freezer. Jasper wants to see
the future. Seeing an opportunity to make money, Apu turns the KWIK-E-MART into a
FREAK-E-MART.

anchor. He follows Brockman's advice and begins covering human interest stories that make
him popular and Lisa jealous.

up the deficit, he allows other cities to dump their garbage in an old abandoned mine. The
mineshaft isn't bottomless, something has got to give and it does.

Homer and Marge discover that the fear of getting caught is the spice they need until they

Bart shoots Nelson's BB gun and kills a bird, feeling guilty he takes the bird's nest with
plan's to hatch its eggs. When the eggs hatch, lizards appear instead of birds. Principal
Skinner says that the lizards are bird-killing parasites that must be killed, it's the
law. Feeling maternal, Bart tries to save the lizards.

This was advertised as the last appearance of Phil Hartman's voice, subsequently the

It was in fact Phil's last appearance. Phil acted as the host of the "World's
Deadliest Executions" show on which Snake was executed in the next episode "Tree
House of Horrors IX". Because he was recently murdered, however, the producers felt
that his scene would be considered tasteless (you know, associating him with "deadly
executions," of which he was a victim). They therefore called upon Ed McMahon to take
his place, re-recording the lines with Ed's voice and re-animating the scene with Ed in
Phil's place.

Marge takes the batteries from the TV remote control. Bart substitues plutonium with
strange results as he and Lisa become cartoon characters in an episode of Itchy &
Scratchy, where the violence is real.

When Maggie gets her first tooth, a fang, and loses her legs, which are replaced by
tentacles. Marge confesses that Homer is not the father, but rather Kang is. To settle the
dispute on what would be better for Maggie's future, Bart suggests they go on The
Jerry Springer Show and of course a fight or two breaks out.

reconnection ruins the profits that were to be made the big dollar natural fruit juice
business that the commune became. His attempt to save the day really freaks out
Springfield.

Lisa stays home from school due to an illness and misses a reading assignment when she
becomes addicted to one of Bart's video games. She returns to class in time for the test
and for the first time in her life, cheats on an exam. The results of her exam bring the
schools average grade point average, which makes them eligible for grant money. Lisa being
who she is, confesses her guilt, which Skinner and Chalmers want to keep buried.
Meanwhile, Homer begins raising a lobster that he hopes to one day eat as a large lobster;
however, when the time comes to boil him, he can't.

Reflecting upon the predictability in his life, Ned asks Homer for help. Homer takes him
to Las Vegas where they live it up, get married and then try to get out of it.

The kids fight back by broadcasting their parent's secrets. When it all comes to a head,
the seniors have the final word.

that leads to Rupert Murdoch's skybox and then the winning team's locker room. Finally,
Pat Summerall and John Madden summarize the episode.

her ailment. They stop at a new age shop, where they are placed in sensory deprivation
tanks. The shop is repossessed while they are inside and Homer and his tank go on a wild

Homer loses a challenge to eat "Sirloin A Lot", a 16-lb. steak. His competitor,
the winner and a truck driver dies just after his victory. To honor the man he killed,
Homer (with Bart) takes the truck to the road. When Homer stumbles upon one of the secrets
of truck driving and starts blabbing about it, the real truckers go up in arms. Meanwhile,
Marge and Lisa try their hand at installing a new door chime that plays a Carpenters tune,
which can't be stopped.

Reverend Loveojoy decides to give the congregation an extra dose of religion and the

going to lead their people to freedom. Homer dreams that he is King Solomon and Bart
dreams that he is King David and Nelson is Goliath II. After sleeping through the service,

on this farm, and with a little help from some plutonium, he crosses tomatoes and tobacco
into something that he calls, "Tomacco". It's highly addictive and the tobacco
companies want it.

back their name. They take more than that, when they take Marge with them when they leave.
So Homer takes to the road to find her.

the boat. Meanwhile at the Mayo Clinic, Mr. Burns is told he has every disease known and
unknown to man, it's just that they are all existing and trying to get through the door
together in something the doctor's call "Three Stooges Syndrome".
