Manhattan Address Locator
|
For those times you just can't tell what cross street an avenue address is near.
These handy tips will get you within about one street of your destination. Really.
|
How to use the table:
Unless otherwise instructed, drop the last digit of the address, divide the remaining number in half (unless otherwise indicated) and perform the
arithmetic function in the table on that result. Your answer is approximately the nearest
numbered cross street as we said above.
If you're starting with a cross street address, numbers East and West start at
Fifth Avenue and increase from there.
We've also included the major one-way direction of each Manhattan avenue, where we
think we know it, because it's a real pain in the arse when you don't know which way they
go beforehand.
